It does not receive funding from the state or federal government or other national organizations such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). In fact, the SPCA of Hancock County is supported entirely by voluntary donations from individuals and businesses.
