You can visit our cats in the lobby and rooms Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 am to 4pm. If you are looking to adopt a dog, please schedule an appointment ahead of time so we can ensure we can accommodate a stress-free meet-and-greet.
Our staff will review your application in about 3 to 7 business days, depending on how many applications have come in and on how easy it is to get in touch with your veterinarian and/or landlord. We do a vet check and, if you rent, landlord check for every applicant. You can still fill out a cat application or dog application and we’ll call you when an animal comes in that matches what you’re wishing for.
The purrfect mousers for farms, barns, and large homes. These are NOT lap cats that want much human interaction. They do require veterinary care, food and water, and a safe, heated place to live in. These cats MUST be adopted in pairs. Working cats are provided with special supplies by the SPCA to help them get used to the garage, barn, or basement space that will be heated and safe for them. Please follow all instructions SPCA staff give when you adopt working cats to ensure a successful transition.
