Dash is a special boy who is super sweet but maybe needed some help from the right family in learning doggie manners. He has clearly found it! This update comes from Dash’s adopters, and they say it better than we could: “Since Dash joined our family, he’s been a very busy puppy! Along with hiking almost every peak in Acadia, Dash has become a Salty Dog! He loves going to his Salty Dog obedience classes and showing off all his new manners to friends and family. Dash also loves sleeping in fuzzy blankets, listening to his favorite band, Johnnyswim, and taking his humans for walks every day. He is a sweet cuddly puppy who gives snuggles on the couch and sloppy kisses to his parents. Dash has become a loved member of our family and we are so thankful to the Hancock SPCA for helping us find our puppy!!!”
We had previously shared that Scooby was our current longest-cat resident at the SPCA-HC, having been here since April. We were hoping he may get an adoption application from the post, but we were hesitant to get too hopeful, as Scooby had some health needs that tend to scare people away, including being FIV+ and needing a special diet for diabetic remission.
Anyway, we posted Scooby’s lengthy stay status and asked the community to share his story in hopes that he would find a furever home, and boy, did you all deliver! His story was shared far and wide… and then, we received a message.
