Kitten Shower

You are invited to an Open House and Kitten Shower at the SPCA of Hancock County from
12 to 4pm on Saturday, June 8.

The SPCA is pleased to welcome the community to see the many kittens we have available, as well as the efforts put into the shelter during the organization’s restructuring period to make space for more animals in need.

Kitten season is in full swing at the SPCA! Since May 1, the shelter’s animal care team has taken in 13 mother cats with kittens. All in all, the SPCA has taken in over 75 cats and kittens in just one month.

There is no charge for attending but guests are asked to bring kitten supplies or make a monetary donation to help offset the cost of the kittens’ medical care. Needed donations include wet canned kitten food, dry kitten food, snuggle safes, small pet blankets, and low-entry litter boxes. Monetary donations will help support the 30+ kittens being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms.

Participants in the Kitten Shower and Open House will get to meet the cats and kittens available for adoption as well as take part in the festivities of our open house, including snacks, raffles, and more!

People interested in adopting a kitten can fill out an application HERE prior to the event.
