The SPCA of Hancock County is holding a Paws Spring Jumble Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, at Holbrook House located at 74 Mount Desert St.

Items for sale will include housewares, artwork and vintage treasures with all of the proceeds benefitting the operation of the SPCA’s animal shelter. The sale items have been donated by the SPCA board of directors and trustees.

“As the shelter is 100% funded by direct donations from the community this Jumble sale will help generate much needed funds to support the incredible work that is done by the shelter staff to help the cats and dogs in our county,” said Michelle Allvin, who serves as vice-president of the SPCA board and owns Holbrook House with her husband, Eric. “Sale items will include antiques, vintage items, furniture, pottery, Roseville Pottery, housewares, Bar Harbor wicker, silver items, art work and many more. Come out and shop and help support a great cause.”

Shoppers will receive a 10-percent discount at the sale if they donate an item from the shelter’s wish list such as bleach, trash bags, catnip and peanut butter with no xylitol or birch sugar, and canned string cheese for filling dog toys. You can find the SPCA’s wish list on Amazon and Chewy.com.

There is parking for the sale available in Holbrook House’s parking lot on Spring Street as well as on-street parking.
