SPCA operates under COVID-19 restrictions

The Hancock County SPCA has a new way of operating while we comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

Visits to the Shelter: The shelter is currently not able to accomodate walk-ins by the public. Please make an appointment so that we can manage the number of guests in our shelter. While you are here, please wear a mask!

Adoptions:  Adoptions are happening! Please fill out the cat adoption application or the dog adoption application

Volunteers:  Yes, we are still in need of volunteers who can help us with work-from-home tasks like marketing, fundraising, and event planning, and some volunteers help in the shelter, on a schedule. Start by filling out our Volunteer Application.

Fostering animals:  More than ever, our animals need temporary foster homes so that we can make space for incoming animals. Think you can help? Fill out our Foster Application for Dogs or Foster Application for Cats.

Surrenders:  We continue to take pets who need to be surrendered. Please call the SPCA at 207.667.8088 so that we may help.

We’d be grateful for your financial support at this time. It will allow us to continue to serve the animals in our care, and those who, out of necessity, are being surrendered.
